- Uninstall and reinstall: A fresh install can often fix persistent issues.
- Clear your cache: This removes stored data that might be causing problems.
TIDAL Web Player Troubleshooting
If you’re experiencing issues on the TIDAL Web Player, try these steps:
- Check your browser version – Make sure your web browser is up to date. You can search for updates or reinstall the browser, but keep in mind that reinstalling may remove saved passwords, bookmarks, and personalized settings. Back up your data first.
- Disable potential blockers – VPNs, extensions, or ad blockers may interfere with the TIDAL Web Player. Try disabling them and refreshing the page.
- Check firewall and antivirus settings – Ensure that TIDAL is not being blocked by your security software.
- Clear browser data – Deleting your cache and cookies can help resolve playback issues.
- Enable DRM (Digital Rights Management) – Some browsers require DRM to stream content. The setting location varies by browser, so check your browser’s help guide for instructions.
🔹 For Brave Browser Users:
- Disable ‘Shields’ – Click the Brave icon in the top right corner and turn off Shields for TIDAL.
- Enable DRM – Go to Settings > Extensions > Widevine and toggle it off and on again.
Playback paused on another device:
Online activity will consist of a single stream per user. You will receive the following errors when more than one device is trying to stream at the same time:
- Playback was paused because you are currently on another device
- The song is being played on another device
Please log out of all sessions once you're done, as web player, desktop and mobile clients cannot maintain a stream if not properly closed. Resetting your TIDAL password will also resolve the problem, please find instructions on how to reset your password here.
