- To use CarPlay, connect your iOS device using a lightning cable.
General tips for CarPlay
- Control TIDAL in your car even when your iOS device is locked.
- Control the TIDAL app on your iOS device while connected to CarPlay.
- Adjust the volume using your car's controls; physical iOS buttons will not work.
- If you fully close the TIDAL app on your iOS device after disconnection, you'll start a new playback session when reconnected.
- Music pauses during incoming and outgoing phone calls, then resumes after the call ends.
- Voice search is not available on CarPlay
Now Playing screen on CarPlay
- Favorite a track from the Now Playing screen by tapping the heart icon.
- Video playback is not supported; it will display the standard Now Playing screen. Play videos on your iOS device.
Offline mode and troubleshooting for CarPlay
- In offline mode, you can only play downloaded content from My Collection.
- If you encounter playback issues like buffering or interruptions, be sure to download playlists for a smoother experience.
- Reconnect your mobile device to your car head unit for general troubleshooting.
- If CarPlay doesn't start or TIDAL/CarPlay crashes, try using a different lightning cable to test.
