How do I claim my public artist profile in Tidal’s catalog?
You can now claim your public artist profile in Tidal’s catalog, which gives you access to manage your official artist page. This makes the process faster and supports a more direct connection between artists and their profiles.
To claim your artist profile, please follow the steps below:
• Log in at tidal.com
• Search for your artist name
• Tap or click your artist profile
• Select the option to claim the profile
• Choose how you’d like to verify your identity
You can verify through a distributor (DistroKid, CD Baby, or TuneCore are currently supported). This is the fastest option and usually provides immediate approval and access. If you prefer, you can choose manual verification. This is reviewed by our team and can take up to 8 weeks to process.
Once approved, your profile will be officially claimed.
I already claimed my profile in Tidal Artist Home. Do I need to do it again?
No. Your profile remains claimed and tied to your Tidal account. To manage it, log in at tidal.com and click your Profile icon in the top right corner of the screen (mobile) or top left corner (web/desktop).
Can I submit more than one claim for the same profile?
No. If there is already an active claim under review for a profile, new claims will be temporarily disabled until the current request is resolved. You can only claim one profile per Tidal account.
Why don’t I see an option to claim a profile?
If you don’t see the option to claim a profile, it may be for one of the following reasons:
• There is already an active claim under review, which temporarily disables new requests
• The profile is restricted to help prevent unauthorized claims
• The profile has already been successfully claimed by someone else
If you run into this, please reach out to Tidal Artist Support [link] and we’ll be happy to help.
What does it mean to merge artist profiles?
Merging profiles is used when there is more than one artist page on Tidal for the same artist or project. A merge combines your music under one main profile so everything appears in a single place.
What happens after profiles are merged?
• Your music will be combined under one artist profile
• Only one profile will remain active
• Duplicate profile(s) will be closed
Will my followers transfer when profiles are merged?
For now, followers are tied to each profile. When profiles are merged, only your main profile remains active, and followers from closed profiles will not transfer.
Your main profile becomes the single place for your audience to find you and grow organically.
Will my artist name change when I claim or merge a profile?
In some cases, yes. If the name on your profile does not match the name provided by your distributor, your profile name will be updated to match the distributor’s records.
This ensures your profile reflects the official artist name associated with your releases. This can apply when claiming, moving content, or merging profiles and may include formatting updates such as capitalization and special characters.
