WHAT FEATURES ARE AVAILABLE IF I USE TIDAL THROUGH THE B&O APP?

Through the B&O app, you’ll be able to: view and listen to your preferred tracks and playlists, search for new music, assign content to your B&O speaker’s Favourite buttons, and get content recommendations tailored to your personal taste. In other words, you’ll get all the fundamental TIDAL functionality, without ever needing to switch between apps.

CAN I USE TIDAL THROUGH THE B&O APP ONLY, OR DO I NEED TO INSTALL THE TIDAL APP?

There’s no need to install the TIDAL app separately, since all fundamental TIDAL functionality will be included in the B&O app. If you do choose to use a separate TIDAL app, your content will be automatically synced across both.

WHAT QUALITY WILL I GET BY USING TIDAL?

TIDAL offers best-in-class sound quality with HiRes Free Lossless Audio Codec (HiRes FLAC) with up to 24-bit / 192 kHz. Most modern B&O speakers will use a specially calibrated TIDAL stream of 24 bit / 48 kHz, which preserves the audio quality without additional processing.

IS TIDAL SOUND COMPATIBLE WITH THE BEOLAB 90 AND BEOLAB 50?

HiRes FLAC can work on the Beolab 90 and Beolab 50, but only if a third-party player is used. All other products will convert HiRes FLAC to a grade that is best optimized for your set-up.

DO I NEED A SUBSCRIPTION TO EXPERIENCE TIDAL?

There is a 1-month free trial for new TIDAL users, after which a paid subscription is required to use TIDAL in the B&O app. This subscription covers the use of TIDAL both within the B&O app and on the native TIDAL app.

WILL "MY COLLECTION" BE SYNCED BETWEEN THE B&O APP AND TIDAL?

Yes, "My Collection" will sync automatically between B&O and the native TIDAL app.

WILL TIDAL AND B&O RADIO WORK TOGETHER?

Yes, B&O radio will work together with TIDAL or Deezer. B&O radio will also work on its own, even without an active TIDAL / Deezer subscription.

HOW DO I SET UP MY FAVORITE BUTTONS?

If you’ve already started a TIDAL playlist from the B&O app, you can save it with a long press on the favorite button on your speaker. Saving playlists to the favorite button can also be done through the B&O app. Once stored, simply tap the favorite button on your speaker or in the B&O app, and your stored playlist will play.

HOW DO I MANAGE MY TIDAL PLAYLISTS IN THE BANG & OLUFSEN APP?

Playlists saved in My collection are organized in a single folder inside the Bang & Olufsen app.
You can create, delete and rename playlists, view playlist description and add or remove tracks.
Rearranging playlist tracks and applying group actions to selected playlist tracks will be available soon.
