TIDAL Collabs Recommendations
How do I find potential collaborators?
Under the ‘Recommended for you’ section, you’ll see potential collaborators. You can learn more about each artist by clicking on their profile and decide if you wish to connect based on the insights provided.
How are TIDAL Collabs recommendations determined?
Recommendations are powered by insights aimed at finding mutually beneficial connections based on style and audience. Your Collabs recommendations may be updated as often as daily, and Collabs tailors recommendations more accurately as you interact more with the feature.
What does it mean if I need to check back for my recommendations?
If you are advised to check back later for recommendations, it means the system is still processing to find the best matches for you. This can take up to 24 hours. If recommendations are still not visible after this period, contact TIDAL Artist Support for further assistance.
TIDAL Collabs Messaging
How do I send a message in TIDAL Collabs?
You can start conversations with artists you're interested in or mark them as “Not interested.” You can also respond to messages you receive, or use options like "Not Now" or "Never" to manage your communication preferences.
What happens if I decline a recommendation?
Declining a recommendation sends a message to the artist that there isn't an opportunity to work together at this time. They will not be able to message you further. If you choose “Not Now,” the artist may be recommended again in the future. Selecting “Never” prevents them from being recommended again.
Can I upload and send audio files to artists I’ve matched with?
Yes. You can upload and send various audio file formats directly in the chat window. Once you send an audio file, both you and the recipient can listen to the file, use playback controls like pause and play, and download it directly to your device.
What happens to the audio files after I send them?
After you share an audio file, you can listen to it within the chat. Similarly, the recipient can control playback and download the shared file. You can preview audio files shared with you in a Collabs chat before deciding to download them to your device. If you choose to delete or revoke access to a shared file, the file preview and download access will be removed for both the sender and receiver.
What file types and sizes are supported?
TIDAL Collabs allows you to upload, share, and store audio files up to 100MB in size and supports conversion to MP3 for preview and playback in your browser. Supported formats include WAV, FLAC, AIFF, ALAC, MP3, AAC, Ogg / Vorbis, and M4A.
Can I see all my shared files in one place?
Yes. You can browse all shared attachments within each conversation by clicking the folder icon on the top right side of the chat window. Shared attachments are organized by audio files, voice notes, and links.
Can I revoke access to audio files I've shared?
Yes. You may delete any file you have shared with a collaborator at any time. By deleting, both users (sender and receiver) will no longer be able to play or download the file.
How will I know if an artist has messaged me on TIDAL Artist Home?
When you log into TIDAL Artist Home, you’ll see a notification on your Profile Overview page if you have any new Collabs messages. The notification badge will also show the total number of unread messages. Navigate to your Collabs tab to see messages from your new connections!
