How do I connect TIDAL to AirPlay?

To connect TIDAL via AirPlay, ensure you have:

  • An Apple device (iPhone, iPad, or Mac)
  • An AirPlay-enabled device (Apple TV, AirPlay-compatible speakers, or a smart TV with AirPlay support)

How do I connect to AirPlay on my iOS mobile device? 

  • Open the TIDAL app
  • Tap 'Now Playing' at the bottom of the screen
  • Click the speaker icon in the upper right-hand corner
  • Select AirPlay & Bluetooth
  • Select your Apple device under AirPlay 

What types of tracks can I play on TIDAL via AirPlay?

While connected to an AirPlay device, you can enjoy the following types of tracks:

  • Low
  • High
  • MAX - HiRes FLAC
  • Dolby Atmos

How do connect to AirPlay on my Mac? 

Make sure your MAC OS version is supported.

Make sure that both devices are connected to the same network.

If you want to use the AirPlay device as the sound output, you need to connect to it on your Mac sound output settings. To do that, please follow the steps below:

  • On the menu bar, click on the sound icon and select the Airplay device you'd like to connect. 
  • Once the AirPlay device is selected, you can play music your TIDAL app. 
  • Make sure that 'System Controlled' is selected on your TIDAL app as shown below. This means that once this is selected, TIDAL is using the sound output selected in your Mac.
